Fire Safety!
It is that time of year again! Winter is coming fast and heating sources are in use. Please make sure you have your furnace cleaned and inspected. Also please make sure you replace the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
Fire safety is of the utmost importance. Please make sure your flues are cleaned and checked regularly. Make sure your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors have new batteries and are working properly.
If you need a new smoke or carbon monoxide detector, please stop by the station and we will provide you with one free of charge.
Please remember that if you are using space heaters, keep all objects clear from them including furniture, clothing, and windows blinds. Also keep them away from your children and pets to prevent fires and or injuries.
